Morey (in the foreground, on the left, in the two-piece white bathing suit) approaches the waters of Waikoko Beach with one of her friends from Island School. The Island School kindergarten class was on an overnight camping trip to the north shore of Kauai, Hawaii. Waikoko is on the extreme western edge of Hanalei Bay. The skies were hazy because of volcanic fog that had drifted all the way here from the Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island. Waikoko is on the extreme western edge of Hanalei Bay, so it's uncrowded and devoid of sunburned tourists. The haze was from volcanic fog from the Big Island.
