Morey (for size reference) with one of my three-year old Washingtonia palms that I grew from seed.
It seems that for most of my life, I've had a latent interest in palm trees. I have no formal training in botany or horticulture (or much interest, for that matter). My first batch of Washingtonia seedlings in 2005. Just three years later, some of these trees are eight feet (2.4 meters) tall (such as this one).
