It seems that for most of my life, I've had a latent interest in palm trees. I have no formal training in botany or horticulture (or much interest, for that matter). But in 2005, I decided to grow my own palms. I began with a handful of Washingtonia and Phoenix seeds and almost no knowledge at all about them. Within two years, I was growing and selling some impressive specimens.
